Jesus did not say never discern right from wrong; He said deal with the beam in your own eye first. Harsh judging puts you in God’s seat and makes you blind to your own need.

Does “judge not” mean I can never call something sin?
No. Jesus goes on to say remove your beam “then shalt thou see clearly.” He forbids hypocritical, condemning judgment, not truth spoken in love.
Why is judging a bondage?
It keeps you comparing and condemning, and Scripture says you condemn yourself in the same thing (Romans 2:1).
